New York, New York – September 4, 2020 – Today, the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University SIPA announced a partnership with Climate Week NYC 2020, focused on addressing the climate crisis from a policy perspective. Through the partnership, the Center will curate a series of virtual, online events during Climate Week NYC from September 21-27, 2020, that link the policies, technologies and investments needed to rebuild the global economy after COVID-19, and accelerate climate policy at the local, state, federal and international levels, with a focus on U.S. leadership and policy pathways.
Jason Bordoff, Founding Director of the Center on Global Energy Policy said: "Climate change is one of the central challenges of the 21st century, and the Center on Global Energy Policy advances policy solutions informed through education, research and dialogue to mitigate the damages from climate change and boost resilience to its impacts, while expanding access to energy and supporting economic growth.
