Conference on the Global Pact for the Environment

CCSI and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), under the guidance of Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on the SDGs, and Laurent Fabius, President of the Constitutional Council of the French Republic, will host a one-day conference to present and discuss the blueprint for a Global Pact for the Environment. The conference will build on the successful June 2017 launch of the Global Pact in Paris, which brought together prominent leaders to discuss the draft pact and its role in moving the environment and development agendas forward.

Financing the Paris Agreement: Barriers, Opportunities, and Solutions

Jointly hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Center for Climate Strategies, and The New York Community Trust, this invite-only Climate Week session focuses on barriers to, opportunities within, and strategies for financing the Paris Agreement and country-led climate action targets, or Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). 

The day will begin with a briefing on implementing the NDCs and end with an interactive discussion on climate finance strategies that address barriers to achieving climate action at scale.
