This session will highlight cities that are rethinking design and urban planning to live with water, including New York City’s resiliency approach in OneNYC: The Plan for a Strong and Just City, Rotterdam’s Climate Initiative and its iconic Water Square, and Copenhagen’s Cloudburst Management Plan.
This event, as part of Climate Week NYC 2016 Opening Day, is focused on the urgent need for accelerated energy efficient renovation in buildings and infrastructure around the globe.
Through this event, brought to you by Sure We Can, different actors who work in the field will share their perspectives on this issue, including the view from the informal recycling system, learning from changing the consumption behavior, and insights about the strong connection between trash and climate change.
